“Coming from a single vineyard in the Diamond Mountain District, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Rainin Vineyard reveals a saturated purple color as well
as a heavenly bouquet of blackcurrants, unsmoked tobacco, bloody meat, truffle, damp earth, and mountain scrub brush. Just incredibly complex, layered, and nuanced aromatically, the palate doesn't drop a beat and is full-bodied, incredibly concentrated, powerful, yet also seamless and weightless. Hats off to the team at
Hall for this incredible wine. It's going to benefit from 4-5 years of bottle age and will blow you away over the following
20 years or more.”

Wine Report
“The ‘Rainin Vineyard’ is a limited-production, barrel selection wine made
by HALL in their Platinum Collection. The nose is downright hedonistic in showing Turkish coffee with blueberry compote, dusty terroir, and shades of creosote that all mingle nicely in the glass. This Cabernet shows incredible decadence and a seamless quality that is hard to describe. Mocha, anise, tar, sandalwood, blueberry compote, exotic spices with shades of creme de cassis all strut their stride on
this expressive palate. The length, weight and tannins structure of the wine really impresses. Outstanding in its youth, this will deliver downright hedonistic drinking enjoyment for decades. This is about as close to perfection as you can get.”

“Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Rainin Vineyard leaps from the glass with vibrant blackberry pie, blueberry compote and warm cassis notes with hints of cardamom, cloves, cedar chest and tapenade plus a waft of pencil lead. Full-bodied, the palate is charged with wonderful black and blue fruit energy, framed with soft, velvety tannins and finishing long with some mineral sparks coming through.”
